The Art of Tang Hotpot
What do hotpot, New York and Tang Dynasty have in common? The answer is culture exchange through sharing and mixing.
In order to capture such a spirit, I decided to present Tang’s top-quality hotpot ingredients in a style that resembles flemish still life painting - a juxtaposition of culture, time and medium.
In close collaboration with Tang’s interior design team, I directed the creation of murals and sculptures in the restaurant. I also took its branding beyond a visual identity system and designed its menu, tableware and food presentation as a holistic dining experience.
